Meeting new Stone Beings
So often when I’m communicating with nature beings, stones in particular, I just want to put them in people’s hands and say “Cradle them to your heart! They’re family… Come to know every smooth or angled surface. Look into their depths. Know the touch of their skin on yours. Be curious about their consciousness, their experience. This is how you welcome a stone being into your life. This is how you start an honoring, co-creative relationship. This is how you remind your human self to look beyond humanity for deep relationships and loving community.”
The next time you encounter a stone, on a path, on a beach, in your own garden, on a city street, and it seems to catch your eye — hold your attention — try doing what I’ve suggested above.
